EEEWWWW!

Wednesday night while I was at work I got a call from Jared that he had seen a mouse! I instantly started freaking out... I'm not fond of ANY creepy little rodents or critters!

When I got home I packed my things for the night. Tiny and I went to my parents for the night. We couldn't leave her here knowing she is defenseless and Mr. Mouse may try to bite her during the night. Jared decided to stay home to defend his territory from the ferocious beast!

In the middle of the night Jared woke up and heard a *snap*....
(Enter a smile here that our little rodent is dead!)

When he got up in the morning and checked the trap there was no mouse!!
Instead there was a small mouse appendage and blood in the laundry room.
(Enter a freaked out Mom face here!)

He broke the news to me. I thought he was kidding....
He wasn't! I saw the very small amount of blood on the floor. Jared spared my eyes of seeing the trap with a dangling mouse leg in it.

We have looked all over for the dead mouse now... because how could he live with just 3 legs? We lifted up and moved the washer, dryer, couches etc.

I kept telling myself that the mouse was dead. That he let himself out of the house & outside to die. I've come back to the house & have slept here twice since then. We still have two traps set just in case Mr. Mouse had a Mrs. that he brought along with him. I'm safe then right?
WRONG! Jared saw the mouse again this afternoon. It ran under the couch. We moved the couch and other things again, still no mouse!

I asked Jared if the mouse was missing an appendage. He looked at me like I was joking and told me "It's a mouse! He was running... I didn't stop him to ask if he was missing his leg!"

We now have 6 traps out there for Mr. Mouse! Four with some delectable peanut butter and two sticky mouse mats.... Come on Mr. Mouse you know you want to be reunited with your missing leg in the garbage! PLEASE!!!

Yuck! We have caught about 6 mice in the last couple months in our garage- thankfully they haven't made it into the house! Our neighborhood was taken over my mice this year! Our neighbors have caught quite a few in their kitchen! Yuck!

okay i have to add this since it happened after my last comment- nate was putting on his shoes for church. They were in the garage for some reason, he felt something in the toe, looked in and there was a live mouse! checked the other shoes out there and there were a couple more with mouse droppings in them! Gross!

I have a really gross mouse story (lets just say my mom and I had a mouse crawl around in our hair and over our faces) I HATE MICE!!!! EWWWWWWW!!!! Good luck they can be buggers to trap but I think 6 traps might do the trick.
