Finals and Christmas!

Jared left a few hours ago to take another final for school. Last week he had his guitar final and got an A for the class! He played for me the solo that he had to make up for the final and I must say I was quite impressed! I am so glad he has been able to take guitar so he has a class that is a bit of a stress reliever not a stress creator! I am super excited for this week to be over and for finals to be behind us for the year!

I love Christmas and am looking forward to having some time together without school books and lap tops around. I think I may banish anything resembling school work to the back bedroom so I don't have to see it through this wonderful time of year. (I think Jared would agree!) Although we are blessed to live in an area and time when we can gain greater knowledge I am done looking at all of those books in the family room!

I have been working on my Christmas cards and have really enjoyed making them. I love how the front of the card turned out... but the back I am not liking at all! I guess that is life and I will do better next year. I just need to finished them and get them mailed off! It is just 14 days before Christmas!

Happy Birthday Breanne

We hope you have a great day. Please forgive me for not wanting to go sit through Twilight! If I couldn't get past page 50 in the book - the movie I'm sure would be pure torture! I am looking forward to this afternoon and going to Madagascar 2 ... I like to move it, move it! ...

So apparently Breanne and I never take pictures together.... Because she will laugh when she sees the one I have posted! Breanne is an amazing wife and mother. She can keep her house clean, her kids happy, while doing crafts, making dinner and doing her church calling! I really look up to her as my older sister. She is extremely talented and loves to make things. It is proof by her crafts that she sales, Sawdust Daisy is her very own creation of cute home decor! She loves to cook and often invites us over for dinner to try her new tasty dishes! This picture is when she made some really good hamburgers at my parents house this summer. Millie is teasing her by wiping her mouth after taking a bite of her delicious and dripping burger.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BREANNE!
We love you, thanks for all you do for us. Happy Birthday to you!

Wedding weekend...

This weekend one of Jared's good friends from High School got married. I was so excited for their wedding because it is the first sealing I have been to besides our own sealing 18 months ago!

Jared and Amber were married on Saturday in the Manti Temple. It was a chilly day but pretty wheather! I have a few pictures, but they dont do them justice! Amber looked amazing! Her dress was beautiful. Jared (the groom) is so laid back and funny so I had to add in picutres that show his personality! The groom is a photographer - I on the other hand am not!

Jared and Jared

Mr. and Mrs.

This picture really lets you see her beautiful dress!

The guys

Jed, Mike, Jared, Jared and Nick

Davian, Amber, Jared and Jared
Jared and Mike
Mike and and his wife Hannah moved to Georgia last year. We miss hanging out with them!
It was such a nice weekend! Thanks Jared and Amber for letting us be apart of your beautiful day! We love you guys!

Yeah Christmas!

It comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me well....

I am so excited for Christmas!

Jared and I have picked the couple who we are going to do for the 12 days of Christmas!
This is one of my favorite family traditions!

I have been working on my christmas cards and can't wait to finish them
so I can send them off to family and friends!

I bought Jared's first Christmas gift and wrapped it up in cute paper
that will match the Christmas tree.

I have been listening to Christmas music all day while at work. Which is a miracle because I work with some people who think "Christmas music should only be played after Thanksgiving!" No, no they are wrong! Christmas is about love, peace, service and happiness so it deserves to be played ALL year long! Besides Thanksgiving has been turned into a holiday that promotes obesity.... we are a doctors office so we should promote happiness not obesity!... BTW - I won the discussion and we listen to FM 100 constantly so we have happy Christmas music all the time!

On a sad little note: Jared and I aren't going to be able to fulfill our tradition this year that was started while dating of going to Trans-Siberian Orchestra!! sniff - sniff... We waited to see if some friends were going along with us... They are not and now tickets are over $100 each! Sadness I know! Click here or here to get your Trans fix... or if you have never checked them out they are amazing! What could be better than electric guitar Christmas Music? LIVE electric guitar Christmas music!! The laser light and pyro show is simply out of this world - the video does not do it justice... No one can do it quit like Trans! Check out this cool house decked out with Christmas lights all keeping up to the beat of Trans.... amazing!! Take a look on their site under 'display video clips' to see other songs synched to their Christmas lights!
By the way there is just 43 days until CHRISTMAS!!

Information help.....

I recently have taken on a new project at work compiling information for patients... Pregnant patients. Well, I have never been pregnant so this has been a fun task for me! I am putting together information that we hand out to patients once they have a positive pregnancy test at our clinic. Thus it is before they meet with their doctor.

So my question is to all of you who have had children:
What information would you have wanted or found helpful BEFORE you met with your doctor for the first time in your pregnancy, generally at 8 -12 weeks?

Did you have any general questions for your doctor that you would have liked the answers to early in your pregnancy?

So far I have information about: Morning sickness, Miscarriage and Ectopic pregnancy, warning signs during pregnancy - like with smoking, drinking and Toxoplasmosis and medications safe to take while pregnant.

Any help with this would be great! Thanks!!

My Day Off...

I made a "To Do List"....

I did the dishes.... Check!

Cleaned the bathroom.... Check - Check!

Mopped all the floors.... Triple Check!

Did some laundry.... Check!

Cut out some things for FHE packets.... Check!

I changed my blog background (click "background" to see where I got it) and must say it is pretty cute!.... (No check - it was not on "The List")
It is almost 1 and I still have not got ready for the day....

Better go check my to do list and shut off the ADD - blogging was NOT on the To Do List for the day....

.... I should add it so I can Check something else off of the list!....

The SIMPLE joys in life!

I am self diagnosed with OCD... when I want it! But no worries it has turned into one of the "simple joys" in life! I will focus on my "Cleaning OCD"....

I discovered Mr. Clean Invigorating Breeze about 3 years ago. It became an amazing addition to my cleaning supplies. That I know sounds like I am CRAZY.... but I have people who agree with me. Using the pretty blue Mr. Clean is TOTALLY invigorating my friends! It leaves the whole house smelling so crisp and clean. Well, I discovered about a year ago that it was not to be found at retail stores! You can imagine my frustration when my FAVORITE cleaner was MIA! What would this do to my "sacred Wednesday cleaning days?"... I would be on Mr. Clean rations! I was bewildered - the audacity of the company to yank my favorite cleaner from the shelves... Gurr!... So I went on a quest to find it..... and my hard work paid off! I recently bought it on-line from some drug store back east.... in bulk! Whew, cleaning life can resume... What could be better than a whole case of my favorite cleaner?... Ya, I know I am speechless too!

Another cleaning love that I have is vacuuming. I really do ENJOY it! As a little girl I would go to Sister Hepners almost daily while my Mom was at work. There we did 2 things daily - or at least that is how I remember it - we vacuumed and made jello. This must be where my love for vacuuming came from. (I will be at my parents home and just randomly get out the central vac just so I can vacuum...) I sound like a nut case... Well, our first apartment was 100 % slate flooring besides our bedroom so we had a smaller sweeper thing I used just in the bedroom. Since we moved and now our apartment has carpet we have needed a vacuum. I have been researching for a few weeks and this is what I have found....

So last night we went down to Wal-Mart and bought this blue Bissell vacuum. I have vacuumed now twice and am amazed (and grossed out) at how well it picks stuff up... it really sucks! Yahoo, I now have nice straight vacuum lines in my carpet!... and you thought I was hard to please?...

Now I must go finish some cleaning... REMEMBER THE SIMPLE JOYS IN LIFE, like a clean house... Unless you have kids (then leave the OCD cleaning to me) and remember what you learned in Genereal Conference... too soon those finger prints and toys will be gone!... (or something to that affect!)

Thankful

So I have always thought that my blog is lacking spice, fun and quality text. I realize now that this is just my life... and I should be thankful for it. Thankful for the life that I have and not take it for granted even though to me it seems ordinary and uneventful!

Jared and I have very opposite schedules but we have learned and grown so much in the past 17 months of marriage. I wouldn't trade in what I have learned and experienced. I am thankful to be married to such an amazing husband who works so hard for us and is striving to better our life on a daily basis and working toward our future. It has been a long road so far but the road is only longer, greener and beautiful. I am glad to have him by my side through the whole journey. He keeps me going and reminds me to stay focused on the important things in life. There is always light, we just need to look to see it and watch it become brighter. He helps me to see this light - to see our future as a reality not just a dream or a wish.

I am so thankful for the family I have been blessed with and for the family I was blessed to marry into. My parents are model citizens when it comes to being a model of service and Christ like love and charity. A week never went by growing up that I could recall my parents not being involved in service of some kind. They have been faithful members of the church my whole life and have shown me how to love, serve and care for others. They taught me well and I hope I can make them proud of the woman that I have become. I love them so much and am grateful to be in the same ward while my Dad is serving as Bishop. This has brought a new respect and love in my eyes for him. I know I don't tell them often enough how wonderful and grateful I am to be able to call them my "Mom and Dad." Mom ,I know you will read this so for this is for you.... "Love you too!!" "Be smart!" "Anticipate the idiot...."

I am so grateful for the church in my life. I loved watching Conference this weekend. What a magnificent opportunity I have been blessed with to listen to the words of a Living Prophet, Pres. Thomas S. Monson and other inspired faithful servants all weekend! Their words were so eloquent and the music so heavenly... I sound cheesy but it is true! If you watched conference you know what I am talking about. It was an amazing spiritual feeling. I have felt a deeper sense of love, compassion and need for service while listening this weekend. I am excited to put into action those impressions of the spirit. I hope a noticeable change within myself will come about from this!... Yahoo for the spiritual highs in life!

Family Update

Jared's Dad recently bought a new sports car... A Pontiac Solstice.
Like good children should - we took it for a spin.
It goes fast..... like REALLY fast! It was so much fun.
This would be Jared's "Please can I have one too?" face!...
I told him Yes... go ahead, you would need to get a third job though!

This sun is in our eyes but we were at a stop light so I tried to get a picture where we were both looking.... it didn't really turn out - but has a nice wind blown hair look huh!

So this is Elder Paea. Elder Paea is from Australia. Jared's brother Tye is serving his mission in Australia. Elder Paea was friends with Tye and the other missionaires who are serving in Australia before being called on his own mission. Elder Paea was called to the Philippines, but while in the MTC injured his shoulder and had to have surgery. Long story short he was assigned to our area and was able to come over to Jared's parents home last Sunday with this companions for dinner. It was really neat to meet him and talk to him about Tye and Australia. He is a really nice, friendly guy and we had such a nice visit with him. We look forward to 2010 when he will be able to come back to visit again after completing his mission!

Thanks Jare!

So I will just start out by saying my husband is the best man ever! Sorry ladies, he is taken and is mine... for eternity! For our date night tonight my amazing husband bought me a new {pink} laptop! I love it!!! I know it is super cheesy but my only requirement for the laptop was that it needed to be... pink! I made him make all the other decisions - you know all that computer humbo jumbo that girls don't understand. I hope now I can be a better blogger.... don't hold your breath though. Jared thinks I will now be motivated to go back to school next semester with this fancy new pink laptop.... but for now it will be my trusting blogging and FHE packet making companion! THANK YOU BEAR!

Found It!

So my last post was my disturbing discovery of a "breast feeding ticker".... But I have found what I was looking for when I stumbled across those disturbing images below....

Fear not! For behold, I bring you glad tidings of GREAT joy....

A CHRISTMAS count down ticker!! I am so excited.

 I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

I officially started listening to Christmas music on Monday... September 22. Just getting ready for the big Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert this year!!  I also bought my first batch of cinnamon pine cones at Wal-Mart, hey if Wal-Mart is displaying things for Christmas, then I should too!

What the???

Lilypie Breastfeeding Ticker

I came across this as I was innocently looking for a ticker..... This is not an announcement.
Just wondering... WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD PUT THIS TICKER ON THEIR BLOG??

No worries for the "business mommy"... your ticker was created too....
 Lilypie Breastfeeding Ticker

This is just sick and wrong!  No one, including me cares how long you have been breast feeding! Why in the world would a ticker like this be even made? Check it out.... it is disturbing! www.lilypie.com There is more "breast feeding ticker graphics" to choose from then the little kids or bugs that move along the ticker saying "I am 4 months 3 week and 2 days old"...

SICK! I TELL YOU! WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO?

Lilypie Breastfeeding Ticker

We have people in this world dying from starvation...
How will you make a difference?? By making a ticker for breast feeding??  The guts of people to even create something like this.... Not to mention the audacity of people to blog about it!

SCHRUTE BUCKS!

So if any of you missed the Season 5 Premier of The Office last night.... YOU MISSED OUT!
We LOVE The Office and have been re-watching all 4 seasons just in prep of last nights big one hour season premier! Our review?
Jared: It was funny! But, if it takes a few different twists that it hinted at I wont be able to watch it. Jim is the hero character... if anything happens so he and Pam don't work out then the "hero" character is dead in my eyes.
Davian: It was great! If Jim and Pam don't work out I will be bugged.  Angela and Andy need to call off their engagement, and Angela and Mr. Schrute need to hook up... and let their relationship be known.

A new Office interactive game is available to purchase in stores (The Office DVD Board Game). You can play a little sample round online at www.pressmantoy.com.  We got a perfect score. Hummm,  now to figure out what we will spend all of our Schrute bucks on ???...

An Old Married Couple

Last night Jared and I decided we reached the ultimate as "an old lame married couple".  Our "lameness" (is that a word?..) started when I got home from a big 3 1/2 hour work day and decided "Jare, I need just a little nap. Like 20 min. Then I will do my cleaning and run some errands, alright..." He agreed to wake me up in 20 min..... Well that 20 minutes turned into a two and a half HOUR nap!  Was it amazing? You better believe it! Did I have the motivation to do everything on my 'To Do' list after that? Not exactly! I wanted to not do a darn thing! I did manage to do a few loads of laundry and go grocery shopping and birthday shopping for my nieces. But, my 'To Do' list only has 3 check marks on it.... Oh well, there is always Monday.

This does not end our lameness, oh no it continues.... We then decided that we didn't feel like cooking and heating up the house so we order from Zubs, which I won't complain about! I love Zubs! When I get home from picking up Zubs we eat dinner and then decided to continue on our quest of watching all of The Office seasons before Season 5 starts on September 25! (I feel an Office season premier party coming....)  My favorite opening to an episode happens to be on Season 2, Disc 2 episode 2.  I watched it about 10 times and busted up laughing each time! It's the one where D'Wight is sitting on the "fitness orb" telling Jim and the benefits of using it.  Then Jim picks up his scissors and walks over and pops the fitness ball and D'Wight falls to the ground... oh it is funny! I can't find it on youtube to link it - sorry! Anyone else I'm sure could find it:)

While watching The Office Jared was working on homework and I was lying on the couch. Let's just say I felt like a 3 year old when he woke me up at 10:30 and told me to just go to bed.... Let's see I took my 2 1/2 hour nap starting at about 1:30 in the afternoon and then he WOKE ME UP at 10:30! What is wrong with me?.... Maybe it has something to do with being awake past 4 am for three nights this past week! So I got ready for bed and slept until the wonderful hour of 7 am.  I really have no idea when Jared finished homework and came to bed..... Like I mentioned, I slept like a champ!

I think now after just 16 months of marriage we have reached "oldie" status.... at least when it comes to being a lame married couple!

Where did August go?

So it has been FOREVER since I made a post..... Not that I have anyone interested in my life that reads on a daily basis or anything! So I just realized it will be a month since my last post tomorrow..... Shameful! So here is a quick update:

* I had just over a week of forced vacation time in August... NOT Fun! I was sitting at home doing dishes, cleaning, and laundry (using my precious "paid vacation hours") while the doctor that I work for was having a FUN vacation! Gurr......
* I took a girls trip to St. George with My mom, sister and Aunt. We met my Grandma there and brought her back up to spend a few weeks with us!
* Jared started school... again:(
* We went out to our favorite Thai Restaurant, Thai Ruby... that place is amazing!
* We spent some time with family and friends with lots of talk about/blog about but no time to actually put in into the computer!

September brings our family a lot birthdays, so as to not leave anyone out here is a BIG Birthday shout out to all of our September Birthdays, we hope you have a wonderful day!
Today September 05 - My Mom
September 09 - Tiff
September 10 - Jared's Mom

Just a sink full of dishes....

So I had this great idea that we should invite my sister and her family over for dinner.  Well it was more of  her idea after hearing her say "When are you going to make that for me to try!" On more than one occasion she has said then when talking to me when I have been making dinner.  So I checked her planner last week and wrote myself in as her dinner appointment tonight!  I called her this morning to remind her and we were set.  I invited my parents over as well.

While talking to Breanne today we decided that we need to spend more time with our families.  Life is too precious to let it go by without spending time together, while making memories and documenting this time in your life.

Anyway, they all come over for dinner tonight.  It was delicious.... the company was nice... the kids were so funny.... and all I have to show for it is a sink of dirty dishes! (That I am not complaining about.  Jared has a new rule for himself that he does the dishes for me on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Well my friends.... IT IS WEDNESDAY!! Yeah for me:)

I didn't take a single picture.  I am so mad at myself.  That is an important part in the documenting process! So I guess now I need a repeat dinner date with the family so I can take some pictures of the night spent together. Better luck next time!

Brownie Points...

Well I have not been the best at blogging the past few months.  Already 2 weeks have past since my last post, so this may turn out to be a long post!

Last Friday Jared surprised me at work with a beautiful bouquet of my favorite flowers.... "Just because".  They were so beautiful and totally made my day.  I love it when he does things like that, it makes me appreciate him so much more!  He racked up the Browine points that day!!

Just wondering here.... What are brownie points suppose to be anyway?? Are they "Brown letter E" points or "Brownie like chocolate dessert" points? Who came up with this saying? Does anyone know the history behind the Brownie points phrase? Do you ever get to cash them in? What are the rules here?

Here are some pictures of my flowers... the pictures do not do them any justice! They were beautiful. The bright pink daisy is still alive and looking good!

I wish I was a talented photographer so I could take cool pictures... instead I just have pictures like this that I wish looked cool!

Last Saturday some of my friends from work went out to lunch to The Pizza Factory.  I am so glad I work with such great people.  It really makes a difference when you can enjoy your job!  We just talked and laughed... I love these moments when we get to be together out side of work!

Lisa, Nicole and Me.

Angela and Amanda.

On Friday we had my Grandpa Jack's birthday party at my parents home.  It turned out really nice.  Grandpa Jack is a funny guy.  Jared loves to sit and talk with him. (He had to go to work so he was sad he only got to stay for a half an hour before he had to leave.) Xander loves to play and tease Grandpa.  Grandpa will tease Xander and say "Come here let me punch you in the nose!" Well the little critter has really picked up on this and now punches people in the nose! He got Grandpa Jack the other night.  To me it is really funny, to Breanne well.... she is the mother of the kid who hits other kids on the nose!  Is it bad if I still laugh?

Breanne made this cute sign for Grandpa!
"An old Crab lives Here"

Yeah a smile!  My Dad doesn't smile for pictures but I caught them laughing!

It has been a fun and busy few weeks here are more small high lights of events.

*** I planned our annual clinic summer party which was a lot of work but turned out well!
*** Jared and I went out to dinner to Ruby River for date night.  I only mention this because they make the BEST coconut shrimp and I am craving it now again.....
*** Jared registered for his upcoming semester at UVU. I am still deciding if I am going to take a class or two.
*** Nicole and I made oatmeal applesauce cookies, got a Slurpee, watched a movie and talked until 3 am.  I felt like I was in High School again, it was great! Thanks for the good times Cole, you are the best!
*** Jared is working his last Sunday grave yard shift at the Hospital!!!
He was able to trade his Sunday shift for a Wednesday shift.  I am so excited!  We now can spend more time together on Sundays.

Now to back track a bit to some fun pictures that never made it to a post but should have....

A few weeks ago my sister-in-law Tiffany came up from Arizona for a few weeks with her girls Livy and Sophie.   While they were here my Mom wanted a picture of all of the grandchildren.  She had one of her friends come over and take some really cute pictures (that I don't have). I also took a few snap shots of the babies, they are so cute.  I just love all of these little kiddos SO much!!

My adorable (and oh so tan) nieces from Arizona
Livy and Spohie
Trying to get all these kids to smile and look in the same direction was nearly impossible!
Allie, Xander on Papa's lap, Sophie on Mamma's lap, Livy hidding behind Millie and Aubrie.
Little Sister Soph fell asleep in the swing.....
This should be on the cover of Parenting magazine or something!

Someone's going to get hurt!

My niece Allie came over to see Jared's new guitar.  She wanted to play one of the guitars so we got Jared's old electric guitar out for her.  She sat down with it and just started playing and singing this twangy country sounding song.  "One day I was walkin' and I saw..." were the lyrics to her made up song. It was a total crack up!  I wish I could have recorded the moment but all I got was this snap shot of her singing with the guitar.

It is raining right now so I have the windows open.  I love the smell of rain!  I wish Jare was home so we could go on a walk in the rain.  Walks in the rain by your self aren't that fun:(           I better hurry and get to sleep so I can listen to the rain while I fall asleep.

Don't forget to help me out with my quest to know the rules and make up of the "Brownie points"!

The Sweet Sounds of an Ibanez

So I know it has just been a few hours since my last post... but I just need to let you all know how my surprise went for Jared!

I woke him up and told him to shower and get ready for work then to let me know when he was ready. I finished getting dinner in the oven while he was getting ready. When he was ready I had him come into the family room where I had the candy bar poster on the couch.

He read it and then I told him to follow me. I had him stand outside the bedroom door while I went inside so I could get his reaction on camera!

When he walked in he was totally shocked!!

He gave me a big hug and kiss and we both cried.... yes, you heard that right WE CRIED OVER A GUITAR!  He was speechless.... he just kept saying 'Thank You!' 'Thank You!!'   I had him get it out and take a look at it.

Then we came into the family room and he played for a bit. We ate dinner and talked for a while.  It was a great evening together.

Just look at that cheesy grin! He has the giddy/excited look on his face holding his new guitar!

Aahh, the sweet sound of an Ibanez guitar! I must say I don't know much about guitars but this new shinny guitar sounds amazing!

What a good day!!  I am so happy Jared loved his surprise.

I think I just scored enough points to last me a few months... or years??
Looks like someone has some catch up to do!!
(I still like flowers... or diamonds Babe!)

Just kidding!!

He told me after I gave him the guitar that he had a surprise already in
motion for me!  He knows that I want to go back to school and has been saving money to get me a new computer! How cool is that.  I am amazed that he would even do something like that.
I actually went and met with the nursing advisor at UVU today.  My news from her was less than exciting!  If I started going to school full time this fall I could apply to the nursing program in fall of 2010.  There is an average of 160 - 250 applicants per semester, with 40 applications accepted per semester with the average GPA of 3.98 of those accepted!
Sounds almost impossible to me! My GPA is 3.68 which I would have thought was pretty good but apparently not as great as I thought!  So I guess we'll see if I change my major or what happens in the next few months!!  It feels like my dreams are not as close or as easy to obtain as I would have hoped!

Surprise for Jared!

So Jared just finished his final for his guitar class. Yahoo! We now have a month of summer left to be together. On friday Jared and I were out running errands and he wanted to stop at a local guitar shop, so we did. Well they had the EXACT guitar that he has been wanting for years there! To him it is like the holy grail of guitars, he was so excited to see it! The owner of the store was really cool. He brought him a cord to hook it into an amp and just play. So this guitar is all he has talked about (even more than before!) all weekend!

Well, because he has been working so hard and doing so well in school I thought he deserved a nice little payday! Yep, I just bought him that guitar. I am still a little in shock myself but I can't wait to wake him up so he can see it! I decided to make him a candy bar poster for the big announcement!

Hehe, here I am blogging about his sweet new guitar that he doesn't even know he has yet.... it is hiding in the laundry room. I feel like a giddy little school girl!! I will have to update with pictures of him with the new guitar. Hope everyone is having a fun afternoon!

I must admit it is a pretty sweet looking guitar!

Sawdust Daisy

Crafty? I'm not very crafty either but my sister Breanne is extremely talented when it comes to crafty things!! She has made half of the decorations in my home and I love them all! She now has created a way to share her love of creating and wood working for others to enjoy. She has named her crafts Sawdust Daisy. Click on the link (to the right in my list, I couldn't get the Title to link to her site!) and it will take you to her web page for you to view her crafts! If you like what you see leave a comment and order some new cute decorations for your own home. One of my favorite craft items that she makes are the wood block letters. She made our last name in block letters with red hearts for the 'o's. It looks so cute and I always get complements on them.

My Reflection on two years ago...

July 01, 2006....  Today was the day of our first date!  Jared and I had talked on the phone a few days earlier and planned to go out on Saturday for our first date.  Well, Saturday soon arrived and he came to my house to pick me up.  All the girls in the family were in my Dad's office with the blinds cracked so they could see him when he came to get me.
The first thing I noticed about Jared was his shirt.  He had a nice white lightly stripped button down shirt on and looked very good.
The second thing I noticed was his White PT Cruiser.   - Strike 1 -   I hate PT Cruisers still to this day!  I think they are a hideous excuse for a car.
We ended up having a very fun date!  We went to eat at Macaroni Grill first.  Brady and Kristina met us there.  Jared knew the manager and all of our meals were on the house!  I was really impressed by this. (Alright "Strike One" is now void!)  How often in real life does that happen?
We then went to the roof of The Physician's Plaza in Provo to watch the  Fireworks from the Stadium of Fire.  It was a lot of fun and we really were able to talk and get to know each other.
After the fireworks Jared and I went back to his apartment.  I met some of his roommates and we talked for a few hours.  He tried to kiss me.... and was denied!  He wasn't just going to kiss me so he could just add another number to his list!!   I was amazed how we were able to just talk for so long!  He took me home and I thought "That was fun! I'll  never see him again though!"

To my surprise he sent me a text Sunday night.  We went on our next date on Monday July 3rd. We went and saw the new Superman Movie and then Jared had to go to work.

July 04, 2006... The day of our first kiss!  Just like on our firs date there were fireworks!! Jared came to my house to pick me up for our date.  He met my family and then we went to his parent's house and I met his family.
