So I have always thought that my blog is lacking spice, fun and quality text. I realize now that this is just my life... and I should be thankful for it. Thankful for the life that I have and not take it for granted even though to me it seems ordinary and uneventful!
Jared and I have very opposite schedules but we have learned and grown so much in the past 17 months of marriage. I wouldn't trade in what I have learned and experienced. I am thankful to be married to such an amazing husband who works so hard for us and is striving to better our life on a daily basis and working toward our future. It has been a long road so far but the road is only longer, greener and beautiful. I am glad to have him by my side through the whole journey. He keeps me going and reminds me to stay focused on the important things in life. There is always light, we just need to look to see it and watch it become brighter. He helps me to see this light - to see our future as a reality not just a dream or a wish.
I am so thankful for the family I have been blessed with and for the family I was blessed to marry into. My parents are model citizens when it comes to being a model of service and Christ like love and charity. A week never went by growing up that I could recall my parents not being involved in service of some kind. They have been faithful members of the church my whole life and have shown me how to love, serve and care for others. They taught me well and I hope I can make them proud of the woman that I have become. I love them so much and am grateful to be in the same ward while my Dad is serving as Bishop. This has brought a new respect and love in my eyes for him. I know I don't tell them often enough how wonderful and grateful I am to be able to call them my "Mom and Dad." Mom ,I know you will read this so for this is for you.... "Love you too!!" "Be smart!" "Anticipate the idiot...."
I am so grateful for the church in my life. I loved watching Conference this weekend. What a magnificent opportunity I have been blessed with to listen to the words of a Living Prophet, Pres. Thomas S. Monson and other inspired faithful servants all weekend! Their words were so eloquent and the music so heavenly... I sound cheesy but it is true! If you watched conference you know what I am talking about. It was an amazing spiritual feeling. I have felt a deeper sense of love, compassion and need for service while listening this weekend. I am excited to put into action those impressions of the spirit. I hope a noticeable change within myself will come about from this!... Yahoo for the spiritual highs in life!
