Last week was Spring Break for Jared, even though it snowed 2" this weekend! So I also took work off so we could spend some time together. Thursday we slept in, which doesn't happen too often around here! We rented August Rush it was such a cute movie that we will need to purchase. That night we went to dinner in Sandy to Texas Road House (one of our favorites) it was delicious as usual!
Friday Jared had more Physical Therapy and I had an eye doctor's vist and then we met up for his follow up workmen's comp. doctor visit. He got the OK to go back to work on the 20th, if all goes well with Physical Therapy for the rest of this week. Yeah! He is so anxious to go back to work and get back into the swing of his crazy life. Friday afternoon my Mom and I went down to Las Vegas for the funeral of a friends little 10 week old baby, Jacey. It was a beautiful service. We are so glad we got to share time with them. It was sad to be in those circumstances to see them again after 3 or 4 years! It was a quick trip but well worth it! We love them so much and pray for their continued strength through their trials!
While on our weekend trip we were stopped due to 4-5 accidents. People need to slow down! I took some picutres. Hey, if I'm gonna sit in traffic and loose time in my life I might as well have pictures to see why I was just sitting there! Friday night Mom and I went down to the "strip" to check things out. I have never been so worried about being mugged in my whole life! I was clutching onto my purse so tight. (I even got Jewelers insurance on my ring the night before just incase anyone stole it!) We went to Circus Circus and ate at The Garden Grill sounds yummy right? I ordered a Fiesta Salad, when it came it didn't have any beans or rice! What it did have was a oil based green dressing, that was nasty. Inside this beautiful taco shell was atleast a full head of lettuce, avocado slices and chicken. Who makes a Fiesta Salad without the Fiesta part? (I did have to stop on our way home in St.George at Cafe Rio so I could have my tasty salad that comes with beans, rice and delicious green dressing!) I could have eaten a little bit of it had the waiter ever come back to check on us so I could get some ranch dressing! But, no he didn't come back for 45 minutes! By then I had shared Mom's dinner of Steak and Lobster. Which by the way was so good! I decided I should get some dessert after having such a flavorless salad. So I ordered Banana Fantasy, it was just that a fantasy! It was the best banana rolled in cinnamon and sugar, topped with vanilla bean ice cream smoothered in rum caramel sauce I have ever had! MMM, I can taste it now!
All in all it was a good weekend! It was nice to be back home, sleep in my own bed, and see Jared! I think Jared was a little lonely here by himself - but lived through it and an unexpected walk-through appraisal that our land lords sprung on him an hour before it happened!

Isn't it called Bananas Foster? You can call it Fantasy if you want, really, if you liked it that much I won't spoil your excitment. I can hardly wait for you guys to move. I just hope it is closer to us not farther away. Thank you for going with mom.
WHAT???? you are moving. Just because we are all alone here in Arizona doesn't mean that you can leave us out! JK But seriously are you moving and where? Sounds like a good weekend, you know that vegas is only 7 hrs from our house, and we do like visitors!
Davian, Of all the pictures you could have posted, did it have to be the one and only quarter that I tried to put in the machine, only to find out that this Nevada raised girl doesn't even know how to gamble? They don't accept quarters any more, only paper credit card things that you have to pay in advance for. We didn't waste our money trying to figure it out.
The Banana Fantasy really was Fantasy not Foster. It's not quite as good as Banana's Foster, but it was passable.
Thanks for a great time, Davian. I thoroughly enjoyed our trip. I was so glad you went with me. I just wish it was for a less tragic reason. That was the saddest!!
PS There is something wrong with your music, it plays in Slo-Mo. It's probably those dreadful metal songs!!:o Mom
Tiff, We will be moving some time in the next couple of months. They are putting the house up for sale this month. Our contract ends May 1st. So sometime we will be moving, we are looking at places now! It is a big pain though I hate moving... you know what a pain it is you two are the King and Queen of packing your stuff and hauling it a few miles:) We wanted to go down to AZ for a little visit but we both had to work on Monday. Guess I should have tried my luck at the slots and maybe I could have won the jackpot & wouldn't have had to go back to work! I am totally wanting to go down to AZ to visit everyone though so I hope we can go on a trip soon!
Breanne, it was BANANA FANTASY! Not banana foster. You should try it, tasted like a bit of heaven! (I bet they have tasty rum caramel sauce in heaven too!)
Mom - Yes, I need to have that picture in there. I even told Jared when I was posting it that you would make a comment about it! Hey just be happy I didn't post the one of just the side of your head and face with the slot machine. Your welcome in advance for not doing it! and P.S. Now you have actualy posted on my blog! Davian how did the baby pass away? Isaiah is 10 weeks now, I would be devesated if something happened to him. Thank you for your comment on my blog. I did have a wonderful 1st anniversary, we went to knotts berry farm for a few days.
