Last week Jared and I watched my sister's kids over night. It was a lot of fun. Jared was trying to teach Millie and Xander how to play the guitar - it was hillarious! Millie was so excited to have a sleepover with us and Xander LOVES Jared. Our crash course in parenting went great. No problem. Eat dinner - Uncle Jared was the hero when he walked in with Wendy's kids meal, clean up dinner, play guitar, do asthma breathing treatments, read stories, take vitamins, brush teeth, put Xander to bed - asleep, no worries. Repeat again with Mille, put her to bed, sit in the rocking chair so she is not afraid of the dark, go get ready for bed myself, 10:30 pm go to bed, sleep. Oh wait it is 11:30 pm and Millie thinks she needs to come in to sleep with us. Move over and give her room, listen to Jare snore, feel a little heater snuggle in closer, no sleeping. 2 am take Millie back to bed, go back to bed myself and sleep. Noise coming through baby monitor, it's Xander, check on him, just moving in bed, I get back in bed. 5:30 am Jared wakes up and goes to work. 7:40 am the little ones wake up! WHAT! WHY???? Breanne has her kids trained to SLEEP IN! So I stay in bed until 8. Change a diaper, make Breakfast, eat, clean up, get kids dressed, brush teeth, take a mini nap on the couch, play play-doh, wash hands, read stories, watch T.V., get treats, try to make a little boy share, play on floor with toys, make play-doh shapes again, Breanne and Clint come home and I am still not ready for the day! Now tell me why for some reason Jared still thinks we don't need kids just yet?
Moral of the story: Being a Mom is a hard job but so much fun! I was just having an Aunt Digga sleepover but still would not recommend waking up one day to being a mother to a 18 month and 3 year old! Whew! Breanne is a wonderful Mom. You should have seen how excited Xander was when they got home. To Mom's everywhere - you are amazing keep up the good work!
P.S. Has anyone seen a post by Jared yet????
